Data recovery is the process of recovering data from damaged, corrupted or inaccessible secondary storage media and operating systems that has been lost by either hardware failure, human error, software bugs, a virus or a natural disaster. Often the data are being recovered from storage media such as hard disk drives, RAID, floppy disks, Smartmedia, Compact Flash, Memory Stick  and other electronics.
